Elaine Gilliam

Meetings Manager

My role as meetings manager will be to create the best possible environment for the members of STC and other technical communication professionals to learn from the experts, have the opportunity to improve their skills and to spend time exchanging ideas with each other. STC is the leading professional organization for the industry and the best source for information. I look forward to assisting in making the conferences the definitive meeting place.

Barbra Sanders

Membership Manager

In this economy, STC members are looking for resources to help them survive and thrive in their workplaces. We work hard every day to make sure the programs, products, and services we provide will make a positive impact on our members’ professional lives. We want our members to know they can count on us and that we accept the challenge to be responsive to their needs now and in the future.

Stacey O'Donnell

Business Development Manager

To guarantee STC longevity, we must continually review member needs. We must provide value to new members as well as more experienced members. STC will develop valuable new products and services for its membership, which will not only enhance the membership experience from year to year, but also support STC members in all phases of their careers. Through this, STC members can continually look to the Society as a stronghold for the advancement of their professional careers today and in the future.

Marta Sokol

Senior Accountant

Accurate financial data is essential to the operation and management of any organization. With a budget of more than $3M, it is imperative that STC’s leaders and staff receive financial reports in a timely manner that can be trusted in order to make the informed decisions necessary. I am committed to providing that information. The money received from dues and other sources is entrusted to STC for the benefit of its members. We are mere stewards of that trust and must ensure that every dollar is properly accounted for and documented.

Shawn Collins

Jr. Systems Administrator

Technology drives many aspects of today’s business by increasing efficiency, lowering costs and automating tasks. This unsung hero of your everyday life works tirelessly and without fail – most of the time. When a system goes down, software stops working, printers won’t print or passwords get forgotten, that is when your IT department comes to the rescue.

As the Jr. System Administrator here at STC, it is my sworn oath to get your system up, your software working, printer printing and passwords reset as soon as possible. Downtime for any business is lost revenue and in today’s economic climate, businesses need to be able to rely on their technology and the people who are responsible for keeping everything online and running smoothly. My goal is to do just that.
