STC honors excellence in technical communication among high school students through its competitions. The following competitions are open to all high school students.
International Technical Writing Competition for College Students
The Phoenix Chapter of STC sponsors the International Technical Writing Competition (ITWC) to recognize excellence in technical communication at the college level.
Students Members of STC: Call for Posters
This year at the 55th Annual Conference of the Society for Technical Communication in Philadelphia, PA, June 1-4, students will have the chance to submit poster presentations.
International Student Technical Communication Competition (ISTCC)
STC sponsors the ISTCC to recognize excellence in technical communication at the high school level. The ISTCC is a tiered
competition. In the first stage, students submit entries to their local STC chapters; entries that win awards of Distinguished Technical Communication at the local level are automatically submitted to the international competition.
International Science and Engineering Fair Competition (ISEFC)
STC participates
in the Intel ISEFC, sponsored by Science Service, to recognize excellence in written and displayed technical communication by high school students. As an ISEFC special awards organization, STC sponsors judges and funds awards at the competition each year.
