Illinois Institute of Technology

The Bachelor of Science in Professional Technical Communication (BS-PTC) encourages program in encourages a blend of theory and workplace-oriented practice, and encourages students to develop an entrepreneurial approach to their academic efforts in which they actively participate in the development of an individual plan of study.

Iowa State University

The undergraduate program in technical communication addresses the natural relationship between practical communication and science/technology. Iowa State also offers an MA and a PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communication.

North Dakota State University

The mission of the English Department at North Dakota State University is to inspire an appreciation for the English language and its literatures, and to cultivate its effective use in creative expression and day-to-day life. We offer three minors, a BA and BS degree in English, a BA and BS in English Education (in cooperation with the School of Education) an MA in English and a Ph.D. in English: Practical Writing.

University of Minnesota

Since 1977 the University of Minnesota has offered a master’s degree in technical communication. Ours is one of the oldest and most highly respected programs of its kind in the country.
