Candidate Statement

I have benefitted greatly from the connections and knowledge STC has helped me develop. Through many discussions, debates, and learning opportunities, I became a better technical communicator. I believe STC has an important role in our industry, and I would like to use my experience to strengthen the Society, bring the technical communication community together, and deliver services that help STC members provide high-quality technical content. Technical communication continues to be a fast-paced, growing field. As new generations enter the field and existing generations find new ways to meet changing demands, we need the Society to grow and develop with these changing needs. My STC experience will help me understand the way we have done things in the past as we identify new ways to support our communities and our members for the future. I can bring a diverse group of people together and help build consensus to move forward.
