I continue to believe that this is the best time to be a technical communicator. We, in STC, must continue to improve our ability to take advantage of that. Over the last 18 months, most of the issues I raised when I ran for the board have been at least partially addressed. We’ve accomplished a lot, but we still have a long way to go to modernize our society in this era of rapid professional evolution.
This is why I am standing for another two years—I want to help finish the job we started. We need to:
- Innovate and not just react to change
- Continue to listen to members’ suggestions and ideas
- Accelerate our progress
- Reinvent STC as a modern service to the discipline with real value for members
You’ve seen the beginning of these changes already—with your vote, we’ll continue improving, and go farther, faster.
