Dues Decrease for Emerging Countries

Classic level membership for members in Emerging Countries is now $50. Membership at the Student level is just $25 for members in these countries.

Add a Chapter for $10 each or a Special Interest Group for $5 each.

All other membership levels will remain at the same price as 2012.

Please email membership@stc.org with any questions about eligibility.

Communities

STC is offering more support to communities than ever before.

The Board of Directors approved a new community funding model, "Partial Pass-through," in which communities will receive funding based strictly on the number of members in the chapter or SIG. All communities will receive a fixed amount of funding per member—$15 per chapter member and $4 per SIG member—regardless of projected expenses and income, or estimated reserves at year end.

STC will provide one free registration to the 2013 Summit to each community. This will help ensure that all communities have an incoming leader representing them at next year’s Leadership Program. It also will help many communities avoid a major annual expense so they can dedicate more of their funds to programs and services that benefit a broad cross-section of members.

The Community Affairs Committee continues to reach out to communities to offer guidance, support, and assistance to chapters and SIGs.
