Sigma Tau Chi and Alpha Sigma Honor Societies

STC sponsors two honorary societies for students. Sigma Tau Chi (STX) recognizes students in baccalaureate or graduate programs, while Alpha Sigma (AS) recognizes those in two-year or certificate programs.

Both societies recognize students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, are active STC members, and demonstrate a potential for significant contribution to the profession.

Who is eligible: STC Members who are enrolled in a baccalaureate, graduate, two-year, or certificate program

Who may recommend: Any member may nominate a student, or members may apply directly

Due date for recommendations: 26 October 2012

Due date for applications: 26 October 2012

Honorees notified: After vote by STC Board of Directors, usually December

DEADLINE: Applications for Sigma Tau Chi and Alpha Sigma must be submitted by 26 October.
