Volunteers: Welcoming, keeping, and recognizing them

Volunteers are the heart of a strong STC community. In this webinar, we’ll share ideas and resources that can help you attract, keep, and recognize volunteers. We'll discuss some of the challenges communities face in recruiting and keeping volunteers, and share best practices for supporting your community’s current volunteers and attracting new volunteers.

Lori Meyer is secretary of the Technical Editing SIG, membership manager of the Rochester chapter, and communications manager of the Carolina chapter. Lori is also a member of several other STC chapters and SIGs.

Ben Woelk is Outreach Team Lead for the Community Affairs Committee we well as immediate past president and web and online communities manager of the Rochester Chapter.  Ben believes that communities are the strength and pride of STC and is passionate about helping community leaders.
