Plain language is not just a better way of communicating - in some cases it’s the law. How does this new emphasis on plain language affect technical communicators?
In this interactive presentation, Deborah Bosley will show you how technical communicators can use their existing skills to market themselves as plain language experts. Whether you work in a corporate setting, or own your own company, you can learn how to use plain language to advance your career and save your company time and money.
Deborah S. Bosley is Principal in The Plain Language Group and an associate professor of English at UNC Charlotte. As an international expert in the use of plain language, she has spent the past 20 years working in regulatory environments helping attorneys, corporations, government agencies, and non-profits create health and financial written information that exceeds compliance standards and that is easy for people to understand and use.
Not in NYC on March 14? You can attend the STC NY Metro meeting on Plain Language remotely. Members and non-members welcome.
