Founded in 1958, the Rochester Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication is based in upstate New York. Although most members live and work in the metropolitan Rochester area, it is becoming more geographically diverse, with members living in several surrounding counties.

Rocky Mountain

San Gabriel Valley
The San Gabriel Valley (SGV) Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) is an interactive organization where members and their guests can learn about the full spectrum of the art, technique, and business of technical communication.
The professional, trade, and technical skills of members cover a wide range of experience and disciplines. About half of the members are self-employed as consultants; the other half are permanent employees.
The monthly chapter meetings are open to the public. These meetings are generally held on the fourth Thursday of each month. Members are encouraged to attend the meetings and share their vision of the chapter's goals and activities.

Santa Barbara
Founded in 1988, our chapter's won STC's "Chapter Achievement Award" three times and the "Pacesetter Award" in 1997. Our newsletter also won awards in STC's Chapter Newsletter Competition three times, including a "Best of Show" award.
But times have changed, and the chapter is in need of some revitalization. Come help us make this chapter as vibrant as it once was... and even more so!
