When you're based out of Sin City, people immediately have an image of what life and work must be like here. Well, let's just clarify a few things right off the bat. No, we don't spend every night in the casinos and nightclubs. Nor do we don't gamble, take in the lavish shows, and enjoy the fabulous buffets every night. We alternate every other night, of course!
But seriously, there is a small but vibrant community of technical communicators right here in Southern Nevada. Our members support a wide range of industries: mining, defense, hospitality, education, energy, healtcare, telecomm, and, yes, gaming, just to name a few.

Also, we are strategically located near many areas of breathtaking natural beauty: Death Valley, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Grand Canyon, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and - my favorite - Zion National Park.
For human-made wonders, my fave is Ethel M's chocolate factory and cactus garden.
