Thanks Darice
I'm in Grapevine and work in Lewisville. Hoping to make it out to your presentation next week and meet some of the great tech writers in the area.

Welcome Leah... Not sure where you are in DFW, but the Lone Star STC chapter info can be found at www.stc-dfw.org. Check out the programs and where we're meeting

I'm needing a good D/FW Tech Comm connection. I'm past president and member of Austin STC for MANY years. I've recently married and relocated to D/FW. Really need to get into the North Texas STC groove.

Yes I know. I could have named it a bit more accurately, but it would have been one heck of a mouthful!

When I saw the group name I first thought it for Texas Tech Tech Comm alums. Are there any in the group? (Besides me)

Feeling a little disconnected in my work, I recently joined a new STC chapter near me. Although I miss Texas so very much, I think that developing new connections here will help me out. I would welcome more activity in this area of the STC website, however, giving me some stronger connections to "folks back home". Would love to connect in a chatroom, or even on the wall here, with anyone interested. (My work location is Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.)

Sorry...forgot to mention the new chapter I belong to is STC-Australia. I just attended the AGM and now hold the position of "webmaster" for the group.
Wow! How exotic! You're not missing much, weather-wise! http://onemansblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/weather-in-texas.jpg
