The diverse membership of the Rocky Mountain Chapter (RMC) of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) includes writers, editors, usability professionals, information architects, illustrators, printers, publishers, educators, students, engineers, and scientists employed in a variety of technological fields.

The Southeastern Michigan Chapter provides learning and networking opportunities for local technical communicators, while supporting the international STC organization. STC/SM members generally live and work across a broad range of Southern Michigan and Northern Ohio—from Jackson and Lansing to Saginaw, Flint, and Port Huron—with a majority of our members concentrated in the metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. STC/SM Chapter members work in a variety of specialized, professional communication roles, including experienced full-time and part-time employees, consultants/contractors, students, and others new to the field of technical communication.

From the 1990s to this present date, STC India has been offering knowledge and improving professional lives in the field of technical communication.

The Australia Chapter was formed in 2001, with the goal of providing Australian STC members with an opportunity to initiate and become involved in local activities and to discuss local issues.

The Intermountain-STC chapter is a community of information professionals and educators in technical communication located in Utah and southern Idaho. Although the chapter spans this entire region, the majority of chapter members are located in the Salt Lake County, Utah County, and Davis County.

The Environmental, Safety, and Health Communication SIG allows technical communicators to stay current on developments in this growing area of the profession.

The East Bay Chapter turns 50 this year! Established in 1962, the East Bay Chapter serves members in the corridor of Highways 580 and 680 in the San Francisco, East Bay Area. More than 40 members work in such diverse fields as software application development, hardware manufacturing, research, electronics, and telecommunications. Technical Communicators can find resources, solutions, jobs, professional connections, and friendship with the East Bay Chapter.

The Wisconsin Chapter, located in Milwaukee, is a gathering place for technical communicators to network, learn, exchange ideas and develop their careers. Our program season includes meetings with speakers on a variety of topics, webinars, mentoring opportunities, and workshops for members and visitors.

Over 20 years, STC Sacramento has experimented vigorously in providing all kinds of services to members and to the community. Members work in high tech, health care, and government. We also have a growing number of student members, and some of us are full- or part-time teachers.

The Orlando Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication was formed in 1977 and is a group dedicated to serving the needs of technical communicators within the greater Orlando area and beyond.

The STC Alberta Chapter·represents technical communicators within Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. Our membership includes writers, editors, documentation specialists, translators, multimedia artists, online Help developers,·graphic designers, instructional designers, and website designers. Our community represents independent consultants, contractors, employees,managers, supervisors, educators, and students in the field of technical communication.
