@Jason: Is there a max # characters for wall posts. Your post was truncated after "...service chec" and I see no way to read the whole post?
Bill SwallowBill Swallow on Friday, 15 April 2011 11:14

You're looking at "recent activity", not your wall. Wall is further down.

Jason MillerJason Miller on Friday, 15 April 2011 11:16

Thanks, Bill. You got it.

Rick SapirRick Sapir on Friday, 15 April 2011 11:42

OK... how do I read the full post on Recent Activity items? I would expect to be able to simply click the item, but I can't. :(

@Rick: We are working on the profile issue. It appears to be a conflict between the social network profile fields and the single sign-on service checking against iMIS for member record information.

Is anyone else seeing *other user's* information in *your* profile?

Yeah, Rachel's info was in mine. Reported the issue in the testing group with screenshots. Fixed my profile by hand.

    My Latest Mobile App

I've previously blogged about my use of Conduit's platform to create a mobile app for STC. Recently, I created a new app for the SPCA of Wake County.

The publication of Tiki for Smarties and Tiki Essentials was a major accomplishment for me and the Tiki Community. I've been especially pleased by hearing from the 100s of folks who have purchased my books and found them genuinely helpful! (I'm ignoring the one guy who asked for his money back... there's always one of "those people" in every bunch...)

Getting STC12 Events On My Phone

Are you looking forward to STC Summit 2012? Me too. I've be using the STC Summit Zerista application to check out the sessions, events, and make my plans. Zerista is a pretty slick application for conference management. If you're attending the summit I highly recommend checking it out.

One thing I really liked is the ability to go through the entire conference schedule, pick and choose the events that interest me, and create my own personal schedule. One thing I didn't like was there seemed to be no way get get that schedule into my personal calendar. I have an Android-powered phone and use Google Calendars.

    The STC Mobile App

Due to the overwhelming success of the STC Carolina Mobile App (well, no one has actually complained, so I'll take that as an overwhelming success!), I've take the initiative to create an (unofficial) app for the Society for Technical Communication (STC), and make it available to everyone.

I know that STC provides liability insurance for its communities and chapters, but I'm not sure if it is available directly to members. You might contact STC HQ directly and see: http://www.stc.org/co
