2007 Fellows
The rank of fellow is conferred only upon associate fellows who have attained such eminence in the field of technical communication that the board, by a two-thirds vote of all members, deems them worthy of being singled out as one of the select few who have distinguished the Society and the profession. Associate fellows may not apply for the rank of fellow; they must be nominated by a committee of fellows. This year's honorees are listed below.

Andrea L. Ames For continuing contributions to the technical communication profession by example and through leadership at all levels of STC, and for helping to educate and mentor current and future technical communicators. |

Elizabeth Bailey For excellence as a manager, writer, teacher, and mentor in a wide variety of industries and businesses in technical communication and technology management, and for distinguished contributions to STC at all levels. |

Dana E. Chisnell For leadership in the profession as a user experience consultant, mentor, and conference presenter, and for outstanding contributions to STC through leadership of the virtual communities during the STC transformation. |

Geoffrey J. S. Hart For significant work across cultures and languages, for sharing and raising awareness of technical communication best practices, and for helping practitioners across continents further develop their skills. |

Thomas Edward Pinelli For advancement of best practices in technical communication through independent research, creative vision, convergence of communication disciplines, and charting of new territory across visual and multimedia production modes. |

Whitney Quesenbery For leadership in technical communication, particularly in providing opportunities for technical communicators to engage in user experience activities, and for contributions to the STC UUX community and to the transformation of STC. |

Karen A. Schriver For advancing the understanding of research and best practices to communicate with a diversity of audiences across skill levels and cultures, and for significant mentoring and sharing with others. |
