Honorary Fellow
- Recommended by: Any member can recommend an outstanding communicator from outside the field.
- Reviewed by: Honorary fellow nominating committee reviews biography.
- Nominated by: Honorary fellow nominating committee selects a candidate.
- Elected by: STC board in September.
Fellow
- Recommended by: Associate fellows update their portfolios and submit them to the STC office.
- Reviewed by: Fellows nominating committee reviews portfolios.
- Nominated by: Fellows nominating committee selects nominees.
- Elected by: STC board in January.
Associate Fellow
- Recommended by: Any community or voting member can recommend a senior member.
- Reviewed by: Associate fellows nominating committee reviews candidates' biographies.
- Nominated by: Associate fellows nominating committee selects nominees.
- Elected by: STC board in January.
Distinguished Chapter Service Award (DCSA)
- Recommended by: Any chapter member can recommend any other chapter member.
- Reviewed by: Director-sponsor of the members' region reviews nominees.
- Nominated by: Director-sponsor of the nominees' region.
- Elected by: STC board in January.
