Intro to Science Writing

This science writing course will help attendees develop an appreciation for the importance of effective communication to the process and progress of science; they will acquire the basic skills necessary to begin the work of “translating” science into non-technical language and you will have the opportunity to think “big” about science and its impact on society. Throughout the duration of the course, participants will have the opportunity to apply what they learn in each session to their writing.

- Practice using the tools of science writing
- Workshop writing samples to hone skills
