HTML5 and its supporting technologies, CSS and JavaScript, change how user interfaces are built. With HTML5, you get support for local storage, graphics, and network communication to deliver applications that are truly web- and cloud-based.

What we’ll cover: A light history of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, overview of the technology and how they fit together; an in-depth look at the current HTML5 elements, structure, and semantics, and modern CSS. If we have time, we’ll look a bit at JavaScript, the DOM, and event-driven programming.

Attendees should be familiar with HTML and CSS.

We’re not going to make you an expert in 30 minutes, but we’ll take a look at how the three technologies fit together and take a look at what the current elements are, document structure, semantics, and support in modern browsers.
