And many of them are adapting to these changes as the effects are felt on their teams, their organizations, and their customers. Others, however, are struggling. Sometimes those who are struggling are doing so through no fault of their own.
For everyone, whether they feel they are adapting well or still struggling, there is value in taking a careful survey of what is happening and what this means for their day-to-day work and for their future prospects. This presentation will provide just such a survey and it will draw on the experiences of many of the world’s largest and most ambitious innovators in the field of technical communication.
While change is always harrowing, this overview ultimately finds great demand and opportunity for the practice of technical communication, provided that practitioners see and understand how they will need to adapt. This session was originally delivered in the highly compressed format of a spotlight presentation at the 2014 STC Summit. With the extra time afforded in a webinar session, the topics originally raised will be explored in more detail and supported by more practical examples.
