When the Great Recession hit several years ago, the presenter had the gift of time to think about ways to transition from a schedule filled with writing and editing publications, managing projects, and keeping a business humming along to a calendar that also included speaking gigs. To help make this transition, she mapped out a process that became a book and continues to fuel new ideas. From this reservoir, she identified 12 steps you can follow—one step each month—to transition from where you are to where you want to be.

One year is winding down and a new year is just around the corner. If you find that you didn’t do what you wanted to do this year, then get ready to put the old year behind you and take time now to prepare for a new year, a new beginning. This year can be different. You can pause, stop, and reflect. You can give yourself the space to figure out where you are heading, shift gears if you like, and even change direction. This webinar shows you how in 12 steps, in 12 months, in just one year, you can make progress. This can be your year to work smart and live well.

This webinar will cover:

  • 12 manageable steps you can take—one step each month—to work smart, live well, and make progress as you transition from where you are to where you want to be
  • Ways to apply the strengths and skills that are part of the technical communicator’s toolkit to your own personal and professional pursuits
  • Journaling as a technique to track your aspirations and progress in the new year
