George Mason University Students Visit STC Offices

A trio of grad students from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, visited Stately STC Manor yesterday as part of a class project. The three are taking English 501, Introduction to Professional Writing and Rhetoric, taught by Douglas Eyman. For their project, Professor Eyman assigned each group a different technical communication publication, and these three drew  STC's publications—a bonus, considering GMU is but a few miles from STC offices.

The students asked a number of questions about the editorial process for both publications, Technical Communication‘s peer review, Intercom‘s focus, and STC in general. They were very interested in hearing that certification is on the way, as that's been a topic of discussion in their class.

Hopefully the answers we provided lead to an A for these students! It was an interesting conversation for us at STC, and we hope it was for them too.
