When you signed up for or renewed your STC membership for 2011, you were promised two free archived seminars as part of your membership package. These seminars, archives from the 2009 Technical Communication Summit, are now online!
However, we're not just giving you two of them—to celebrate this brand-new member offering from STC, we're making all thirty-eight archived seminars available free to members! We took all the recordings from the 2009 Summit, eliminated those with bad audio or outdated information, and compiled the rest together for members to access from anywhere at any time via embedded video. These archives include an audio recording of the speaker synched with the PowerPoint presentation.
To access these archives, you must log in on www.stc.org. Click My STC in the header or Site Access at the top of the screen. Then go to the Education tab on the header and select “Free Archived Webinars.” Note: This menu item only shows up when you're logged in. If you're already logged in on STC.org, just click here, then click on the sessions you're interested in. The title link will take you to more information about the session, including the track it was presented under, while the link at the bottom will take you directly to a page with embedded video.
This great new addition is for STC members only, so you'll need to log in with your username and password. Remember, when you log into My STC, please use your regular STC username and password. You do not need to set up a new account. The new account sign-up process is designated for non-STC members who are interested in finding out what STC has to offer. If you sign up for a new account, we will be unable to synchronize it with the membership database, which is an important part of maximizing your My STC experience.
Enjoy these thirty-eight recorded sessions from the 2009 Summit—free from STC as part of your membership!
