STC Staff Celebrate the Holidays

The STC Staff had our office holiday party this week, with fun videos from JibJab, a holiday contest, ornament exchange, and lunch at the delicious Four Sisters Vietnamese Restaurant.

The celebration started with a three-part contest to determine the holiday king or queen. First, staffers were divided into two teams for a karaoke showdown. Next came a trivia quiz (copies available upon request) derived from the hit bestseller book Christmas's Most Wanted: The Top 10 Book of Kris Kringles, Merry Jingles, and Holiday Cheer (coauthored by Your Friendly Neighborhood Blogger!). And last, the four finalists were each provided an oddly shaped item and asked to wrap it. The rest of the staffers voted on the best-wrapped present, and the “owner” of that gift was named the holiday king or queen.

So, congratulations to CFO Greg Larsen! Greg's wrapping of a football was artistic yet simplistic and appealed to the voters more than a wrapped pair of tongs, battery-powered flashlight, or snowman stuffed doll. Greg is shown here wearing his holiday crown; best of all, it lights up, too! Doesn't the Holiday King look happy?

Next stop was Four Sisters, with a family-style Vietnamese lunch of various delicious items. If you're in the Falls Church, Virginia, area, definitely stop by Four Sisters. And while at the restaurant, staff participated in a fun ornament exchange combined with an altered reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas.

All these events were organized by Stacey O'Donnell and Regina Tatum, so those to both of these women for a wonderful office party. And STC staff would like to offer our best wishes to all of you this holiday season as well!
