Summit ’13: Lean Communication and LEGOs—Learn and Play

Guest post by Paul Mueller.

LEGO Serious Play is an innovative, experiential process designed to enhance innovation and business performance. Research shows that this kind of hands-on learning produces a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the world and its possibilities. LEGO Serious Play helps you discover how you perceive the world and those around you in a fun, yet structured manner.

Renee E. Shull brings LEGO Serious Play to the Summit to explore the Lean Process for Communication. This session is a fun, hands-on workshop that clarifies how measurement sets a clear communication expectation. Communication is constant in our personal and professional lives, but we work on it less than our other skills. The object is to make sure all parties are on the same page when communicating. During this session, we will explore the communication process and a few key elements: Listen, Repeat, Document, Respect Preferred Modes, Be Timely, Add Value.

This custom-designed program creates an interactive environment where you will be actively involved rather than just listening to a PowerPoint presentation. Through this fresh approach, you will explore the lean communication process and identify key elements that will work well for you.
