It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors announces Chris Lyons’s resignation from his position as CEO of STC. Under Chris’s leadership, STC has seen many successes, including the successful rebuilding and launching of STC’s Professional Certification Program; improving the quality, venue, and performance of STC’s annual meetings; and improving many business operations, which has resulted in a financially stronger organization. The Board thanks Chris for his dedication and service. We will miss his leadership and wish him the best in his new position.
The Board of Directors is working closely with Chris and STC’s staff to manage the transition and a search for a new leader will be launched shortly. In the meantime, the Board has appointed Elizabeth (Liz) Pohland, Director of Communications, as interim CEO, and Stacey O’Donnell, Director of Corporate & Member Engagement, as interim COO. As many members already know, Liz and Stacey are dedicated employees of STC and will ably serve the Association’s interim needs.
