Let STC help you build your professional network!

Opportunities abound from having easily-accessible connections with like-minded professionals. As a member of STC, those connections are right at your fingertips with STC’s chapters and special interest groups (SIGs). STC has over 60 of these diverse and active communities. You can connect with professionals in your chapter’s geographic area, or virtually with a SIG.

What can STC communities do for you?

  • Leadership and managerial skill development
  • Opportunities to volunteer
  • Forums for personal and professional growth
  • Hot-topic training and well-known industry speakers
  • Forums for group decision making
  • Lifelong professional connections

If you’re a Gold or Student member, you can join as many SIGs as you wish for free! Gold members also enjoy free chapter memberships. If you’re not a Gold or Student member, don’t worry! Joining a community is still affordable and easy. Dues to join a professional or student chapter are only $25, and only $10 to join a SIG. For questions or to add a community to your membership, contact membership@stc.org or call 1 (703) 522-4114.

STC’s Community Race is here!

Expand your network, strengthen STC and your community, and win prizes by speaking with other professionals about membership in STC!

The 2017 community membership race will end on 1 September 2017. This campaign is designed to help communities recruit new members to join STC and their chapter or SIG.

Chapters and SIGs receive points when a member from their community recruits a person to join or renew their STC membership online.

When recruiting a member, please instruct them to include the name of the referring chapter or SIG in the Referred By box on the My Demographics page in the online membership application. The community must be listed on the membership application to receive credit. A community is awarded one point for each Classic, New TC Professional, Student, CVP, or Gold member they recruit. The community with the most points wins!
