Community Spotlight: Spectrum 2018

STC Rochester is hosting its regional tech comm conference, Spectrum, March 25-27, 2018 at Louise Slaughter Hall at the Rochester Institute of Technology. This year's theme is “Hack into Your Flow.” We'll let the Rochester Chapter take it from here.

Registration is now open for STC Rochester's regional conference, Spectrum 2018: Hack Into Your Flow.

New this year and only for a limited time, STC Rochester is offering a combo ticket that includes Leadership Day (Sunday, 25 March), the full conference (Monday, 26 March), and a full day of workshops (Tuesday, 27 March) hosted at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Plus, the earlier you register, the more you save on all ticket types. Companies also receive a 25% discount off the non-member ticket price when they register three or more employees.

Don't wait, or you'll miss out on…

An Engaging and Inspiring Keynote
Author and technical communication consultant, Judith L. Glick-Smith, Ph.D., will deliver this year's keynote speech and share her insights on flow-based decision making and leadership. When you get in the flow (or “the zone”), you lose your sense of time, increase productivity and achieve better outcomes. Work even becomes fun! Glick-Smith will also host one of the workshops 27 March and tell you how to hack into your flow.

Quality Presentations
STC Rochester received an overwhelming number of presentation proposals. As a result, Spectrum will offer more presentations than ever, giving you additional options throughout the conference. Presenters include experienced technical communicators working in a variety of fields from across the United States and Canada. Full schedule coming soon!

Nourishment and Networking
#Spectrum2018 has time built into the schedule for networking, food and fun! You'll get your fill of friends and fill up over a hearty breakfast and lunch (and festive, afternoon pick-me-up treat) at the conference. Plus, join fellow tech comm pros at a preconference karaoke bash and conference after-party.

Members, nonmembers and students welcome!
