Spring has sprung with brand new STC education! Make the most of your membership by beefing up your education report card.

This week:

Join Rosie Arcelay and Sarah Kiniry in tomorrow’s webinar, “Nine Writers, Nine Agile Teams, One Voice.” This webinar will highlight the specialized workflows and departmental procedures that cPanel uses to overcome the inevitable conflicts when nine writers from nine different teams work on the same set of documents. https://www.stc.org/event/nine-writers-nine-agile-teams-one-voice/. The webinar begins tomorrow, 11 April, at 2:00 PM EDT (GMT-4).

Tech comm pros, with the right guidance and context, have the fundamental skills needed to write effective proposals. Proposal Writing in Context is a new STC online course that introduces professional writers to the activities, responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities that characterize proposals written to receive funding. The course begins Thursday and runs on Thursdays from 12 April through 17 May at 11:00 AM EDT (GMT-4).

Next week:

Ever wanted to write about science or other complex topics, but didn’t know where to start? Science for All: Introduction to Science Writing with Laura Jacobs is for you! This asynchronous (self-paced) class is intended for those who are interested in science writing as a career, or for those who are exploring content marketing, public relations or writing for general audiences. The writing strengths that are demanded in this area – maintaining reader interest and providing understanding of very complex subject matter – will carry over into all of our writing efforts and in the professional setting beyond this class.  This course will run from 18 April through 23 May.
