Farewells and Welcomes: STC Staff Updates

This winter has been one of change and growth for the STC staff. Earlier this month, STC bid farewell to Stacey O’Donnell, our long-time Membership Director and COO. After over a decade with STC, Stacey accepted an exciting position with 340B Health as their database expert. Stacey has made a significant impact on the Society, and she’ll be dearly missed by both members and staff.

“Stacey has given an enormous amount of her time, skill, and knowledge to STC,” said CEO Liz Pohland. “She is a dedicated professional and a custodian of institutional knowledge for the association. She has been a wonderful colleague, with a great sense of humor and disposition. The entire staff will certainly miss her and we wish her success in her next endeavor.”

As for new hires, we have two new employees to welcome this month. Many of you will remember Erin Gallalee as our prior Membership Manager, whom we recently welcomed back! We are thrilled to have her return to that position.

And last week, STC brought on board Claudia Ventura as STC’s new Education Manager. An experienced association professional, Claudia most recently worked for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), where she was the Manager of Online Learning and Professional Development.

Please join us in saying a warm farewell to Stacey and an enthusiastic welcome to Erin and Claudia. Along with the rest of the staff, Erin and Claudia will both be present at the 2019 Technical Communication Summit & Expo, 5-8 May in Denver, Colorado. If you run into them there, be sure to give them a warm STC welcome!
