It is that time of year when STC encourages our senior members who have been active in the Society to pursue the honor of Associate Fellow. You can nominate yourself with the endorsement of another Senior Member, or you can be nominated by another Senior Member.
This honor recognizes members for their outstanding achievements in and contributions to the arts and science of technical communication, and for sustained and significant service to STC. Associate Fellows retain this honorary rank for life, unless they are elevated to the rank of Fellow.
To be considered for Associate Fellow, a candidate must have:
- Been active in technical communication for at least 15 years
- Fulfilled ten years of service as an STC Member (with at least five years at the level of Senior Member), as of the application submission deadline.
Applications are due by 1 November 2021, so send your nominations now.
We encourage all members who meet the requirements and are interested in this rank to apply! More information about the rank of Associate Fellow and Fellow with STC and the application submission process can be found here: https://www.stc.org/honors-awards-and-recognition/.
We love to recognize all of you who contribute so much to the Society and to the field. Please email Rachel Houghton, STC Fellow, and Chair of the Associate Fellows Committee at associate.fellow@stc.org if you have questions.
