Associate Fellows,

Fellow is an honor bestowed on Associate Fellows who have continued to make exemplary contributions to our profession and our organization.

Each year, the Society invites Associate Fellows who meet the requirements to present their credentials for review by the Fellows Nominating Committee. This committee, composed entirely of Fellows, considers carefully the accomplishments of Associate Fellows in the following areas:
  • Professional qualifications (academic and work experience)
  • Leadership in the Technical Communication profession
  • Publications and presentations
  • Honors and awards in Technical Communication
  • STC Society-level service
  • Involvement with other professional organizations

To be considered for Fellow, a candidate must have:
  • Inducted as an Associate Fellow at or prior to the 2020 STC Summit
  • Member of the Society in good standing for at least 13 years
  • Active in the Technical Communication profession for at least 18 years

Applications are due by 7 November 2022, so send your nominations now.

We encourage all members who meet the requirements and are interested in this rank to apply! More information about the rank of Fellow and the application submission process can be found here.

We love to recognize all of you who contribute so much to the Society and to the field. Please email me at rjhoughton@gmail.com if you have questions.
