STC Research Project is Looking for Software Development Managers

Guest post by Nicky Bleiel, STC Director at Large.

STC is currently conducting a research project and could use your help gathering interview subjects.

This is part one of a multi-part project. We are gathering data to determine how software development managers view technical communicators. These data will help STC formulate a strategy to promote our profession and its professionals—as well as STC—to these managers. Further studies will target other industries. We have worked with a survey expert to formulate the questions and will compile the data  according to best research standards.

These interviews are conducted confidentially; no participant’s name will appear in the final report. Interview length is 30 minutes or less.

Potential interview subjects should have the following or equivalent title:

  • Software Development Lead
  • Software Development Manager
  • VP of Software Development
  • Director of Software Development

Any STC member who provides the name of a qualified subject who participates in the study will be given a free copy of the results when they are released.

Please direct names and questions to survey@stc.org.
