Upcoming Webinar on 6 January: Strategic Planning for Your Life

It’s that time of year again. In January, we look back at the previous year—sometimes amazed at how much we accomplished, sometimes disappointed at what did or didn’t happen. How do you feel about 2009? How would you like to feel at the end of 2010? Now is the time to consider the possibilities for the new year, not as resolutions (which people seem to forget about by the end of February), but as written objectives, which you will monitor throughout the year, thereby increasing the chances of a positive outcome.

On Wednesday 6 January at 1:00 PM EST (GMT-5), I will present a one-hour version of a five-hour workshop designed to present a framework—a meta-process—I originally developed for myself to help me live my life with purpose. This process works for me and many others who have taken my workshops over the years. It can work for you, too. It is designed in a way that you can change it to fit your life and your circumstances. By revisiting it on a regular basis, you will be able to track your progress and maintain your focus.

We all love being in the “flow”—that is, living and working in that place that gives us joy, where time stands still, and we become one with the activity. However, being in the flow does not guarantee right decisions. This framework facilitates your ability to increase the frequency of your flow experiences. It helps keep your life in front of you, enabling awareness and facilitating the ability to enjoy the journey while working on your goals and dreams.

The “Strategic Planning for Your Life” framework consists of a series of exercises designed to lift your spirit and inform you about yourself. There is a purpose to each exercise. Therefore, it is important that you do not take shortcuts. The webinar will describe each of these exercises and the underlying purpose for them. These exercises help you make explicit the following information:

  • How you are unique and what gives you joy
  • Why you are here
  • Who you are (what roles you play)
  • What you want to accomplish
  • What is your timeline for accomplishing your goals and dreams
  • How to sustain the plan

In this abbreviated version of the workshop, you will get the basics of the process with enough information to proceed on your own.
