Beth Agnew

One of the world’s first Certified Professional Technical Communicators (Expert), Beth Agnew spent 10 years in telecommunications with the Canadian Armed Forces. Subsequently, she started her own communications consulting business providing technical communication for software development, product manufacturing, and marketing. As a technical writer and a manager of development, Beth has managed processes, developed best practices, and delivered projects that met and exceeded client expectations in both turnaround and quality of deliverables. In her communications and marketing practice, her clients have ranged from Walmart, Best Buy, Spar Aerospace, and the Department of National Defense to scientific and academic institutions, high tech and manufacturing companies, federal and provincial government departments, corporations, small businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Beth Agnew is an STC Associate Fellow, has served as the MarCom SIG manager, International Summit Awards judge and has been a popular speaker at several STC Summits and other technical conferences. She is a full-time professor, and the coordinator of the Seneca College Technical Communication post-graduate certificate program
