Lori De Milto, MJ, is a freelance medical writer who has been helping clients attract, engage, and motivate audiences through targeted medical content since 1997. She began using LinkedIn before most people had even heard of it and has gotten new clients, built her network, and learned how to better manage her freelance business and work life through the social media platform.

Along with freelancing, Lori teaches other freelancers how to market their freelance businesses—including by using LinkedIn—through her Mighty Marketer blog, course, and books. A fellow of the American Medical Writers Association, Lori frequently presents on LinkedIn and other topics related to marketing and freelancing. For the Society for Technical Communications, Lori published an article on establishing a professional online presence, which featured LinkedIn, for Intercom magazine. Lori also taught a course for the society on how to become a medical writer.
