Lori De Milto
Lori De Milto, MJ, is a freelance medical writer who helps her clients engage their audience(s) through targeted medical content. Lori writes blog posts, stories, e-newsletters, web content, case studies, white papers, meeting summaries, and more for patients, health consumers, health care professionals and other professional audiences. Her clients include healthcare marketing agencies, associations, disease-focused health organizations, hospitals/health systems, and other health and healthcare organizations.
Before becoming a freelance medical writer in 1997, Lori managed communications for Temple University’s business school and was a copywriter for an advertising agency. She has published four books on marketing for freelancers, most recently The Fearless Freelancer: How to Thrive in a Recession (2020).
A fellow of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), Lori has two degrees in Journalism from Temple University (bachelor’s and master’s). She is an adjunct instructor in the University of Chicago’s Medical Writing and Editing Certificate program and frequently presents on freelance marketing and other topics at conferences and other events of the American Medical Writers Association.
