Nikki Arnell

Nikki Arnell

Associate Professor, Graphic Design; Arkansas State University

Nikki Arnell's journey from advertising to academia began in the late 1990s after earning her BA from Indiana University. She applied her creative problem-solving skills in work for local shops and national campaigns for major brands alike. A chance teaching opportunity prompted a career shift, leading Arnell to pursue an MFA at Colorado State University. She explored a hybrid of traditional fine arts and modern technologies. Her work continues to explore the diverse facets of visual communication and expression. Joining Arkansas State University in 2010, Arnell is now a tenured professor, presenting research at international conferences and publishing in academic journals while continuing to design.
