The White House announced yesterday, 5 March, that the G-8 Summit will no longer take place in Chicago on 18-19 May, but instead at Camp David. The NATO Summit is still scheduled for 20-21 May in Chicago. STC Chicago is pleased to learn of this change as we anticipate less travel congestion for arriving attendees. While the city still anticipates protests and potential street closures downtown for the NATO Summit, we’d like to remind everyone that the STC Summit is in Rosemont, miles from downtown Chicago and any potential disruptions. We’d also like to note that because of the international attention the NATO Summit brings, we recommend making hotel and travel reservations as early as possible.
