Each year, the Conference Chair and Program Advisory Committee assess industry trends, other activities in the technical communication profession, and feedback gathered from previous Summits. The 2015 Technical Communication Summit introduces tracks that represent core technical communication skills:
  • Art, Design, and Visual Communication, for topics such as hypergraphics, information design, video, and user experience.
  • Leadership and Management, for new managers, DocOps, and document teams.
  • Tools and Technology, for sessions on web services, Git, markup, DITA, and open source project tools.
  • Training and Research, to address topics in online education, instructional design, and academic research.
  • Writing and Communication, for topics such as content marketing, creating useful copy, writing for mobile, and developing technical presentations.
Proposals submitted through the Call for Presentations also reveal a great deal about what our colleagues are working on and want to share with each other.
