Charles Fisher – fellows

Charles Fisher is a founding board member and treasurer with the STC Certification Commission. He has been an STC member since 1989, and he became an Associate Fellow in 2003. His STC service includes chapter leadership team member for the Washington, DC Chapter, competition judge and manager, and conference manager for STC annual conferences. He has over 20 years of experience as a technical communicator and manager in the software development industry. In addition, he has taught technical and business writing courses at George Mason University, Virginia Tech, and other universities. He holds an MA in professional writing and an MS in technology management, and he earned his Project Management Professional certification in March 2012. Charles was recently involved in developing submission and evaluation criteria for the Certified Professional Technical Communicator™ credential. He currently works as a technical business analyst with Meridium, Inc., in Roanoke, VA.
