Music! Dancing! Fun! After a three-year hiatus, come join us for the return of—ta-da!—STC’s own The Rough Drafts at the 2012 Summit! The Music Jam returns for its eighth time, to the home of its birth, on Monday evening, 21 May, at 8:00 PM, in the room adjacent to the Communities Reception. Founding members Tommy Barker (lead guitar & vocals) and Rich Maggiani (drums) anchor the music scene, with new band members Viqui Dill, Carolyn Klinger, Robert Hershenow, and others. As with past shows, we’ll have an ever-flowing group of musicians entertaining you with rock, pop, rockabilly, and of course, the blues! Musicians, bring an instrument to join in (email Rich Maggiani for the set list). Everyone else, spend the evening hobnobbing with your STC friends and dancing your heads off all evening long! With humble and gracious gratitude to the generous sponsorship of Ann Grove (Logical Writing Solutions)—with additional funding provided by Ken Cook (Ken Cook Company)—whose conversation with me after a long day at the Spectrum conference spawned the return of music and The Rough Drafts. So your schedule is complete for Monday night! Bring your snapping fingers, your infectious laughter, and your dancing shoes … to the return of the Music Jam! Rich Maggiani is founder of Solari Communication, Director at Large of STC, and an STC Fellow.

Another reason to start getting excited about the Summit. We work hard and we play hard. So glad to be joining the Rough Drafts and to be a member of the Draft Heads (Rough Heads?) this year.

    1. STC Chicago

Can’t wait to see you guys in action!

Thanks to infectiously cheerful Rich and fabulously talented Ann for this return of the Summit Music Jam. I will be there!

Are conference badges required for entry? (or can Chicago area folks not attending the conference join the fun?)

    1. STC Chicago

@Barrie, feel free to join us. Anyone in the area is welcome to attend.

    Hallo Rich and everyone
This sounds wonderful! I’ll be there, and hoping to meet up with many other STC folk.
    Cheers, Sarah
