Melissa Eggleston
Founder; Birdcall
UX designer Melissa Eggleston founded the company Birdcall in 2020. Birdcall provides UX services and courses to organizations making a positive difference in the world. Recent projects include designing an app to help human trafficking survivors in San Francisco as well as content strategy and editing for a global health organization in NYC.
For the last 12 years, Melissa has helped organizations of all sizes, from global companies to new startups, improve the user experience of their websites and apps. She has worked on UX and content projects for Lenovo, Duke University, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and many others. Prior to founding Birdcall, she was the Director of UX at Teamworks in Durham, NC.
Melissa received her Master’s degree in Visual Communication from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media in 2009. Since 2019, she has taught user experience design to graduate students at her alma mater
