Ricardo Olenewa is a Technical Writer at Google. He graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Waterloo. He started his career teaching computer programming at George Brown College. Later, Ricardo led I.T. departments for social service agencies in Toronto, and co-founded two start-ups, before returning to Waterloo to study for an M.A. in English Literature. During his Master’s studies, he received a Mitacs Accelerate grant to design a conversational speech interface for email with a local start-up.
After his Masters’ studies, Ricardo went on to write developer documentation at BlackBerry. He now leads a team of writers who write documentation and training for Engineers at Google.
