Community of the Year, Most Improved Community Announced at Honors Banquet

Last night at the STC Summit, the Honors Banquet feted the individual and community “bright lights” of the Society. Most of the honorees have already been announced, but two remained secret: The Community of the Year and the Most Improved Community.

The Most Improved Community is given to the community that “stepped up their game” the most from one year to the next, based on their applications for the Community Achievement Award. This year the award goes to the Houston Chapter.

The Community of the Year Award is presented to the community that had the highest score of all of the outstanding Communities of Distinction. The third annual Community of the Year Award goes to the Rochester Chapter.

Congratulations to the leadership and members of both communities! And congratulations to everyone honored last night: Best of Show, Fellows, Associate Fellows, Jay Gould recipients, Ken Rainey recipients, Frank R. Smith Recipients, Communities of Excellence, Communities of Distinction, Pacesetters, and anyone I’ve forgotten.
