The STC International Summit Awards (ISA) committee is pleased to know that a number of community and regional competitions are in the final stages. The ISA committee would like to officially announce the schedule dates for the ISA competition.
The official calls for ISA entries and judges are behind schedule due to technical issues. However, we still expect to adhere to a 31 January 2014 deadline for entry submissions and a 14 January deadline for judge applications.
Judge training will occur on Saturday, 1 February, for lead judges and first-time ISA judges (optional for returning judges). The milestone system introduced last year has been modified based on feedback from judges. After training, a judge’s commitment for entry assessments will span the period of 14 February–4 April 2014. Best of Show judging will occur by 8 April. ISA Distinguished and Best of Show winners will be announced at the 2014 Summit in May.
The ISA committee is working with the STC office to provide updated information and links to this year’s ISA competition materials. In the interim, the ISA committee will soon reach out directly to community/regional competitions and past judges to solicit your participation.
