If you find yourself in Phoenix the evening of Wednesday, 21 May, after the Summit ends, join the Phoenix Chapter on an outing to the Phoenix Art Museum. We will gather near the Summit venue at 3:30 PM 6:00 PM and travel together to the museum. Stop by the Phoenix Chapter table at the Summit for up-to-date information about the outing and let us know if you plan to attend.
The museum will have three exhibitions to view in addition to its own collection. The exhibitions are Hollywood Red Carpet, a display of gowns worn by Academy Award-nominated actresses; Hollywood Costume, the costumes worn by actors and actresses in many unforgettable movie roles; and Quiet Rage, Gentle Wail, a study of the traditional Japanese theater called Noh.
Admission to the museum collections and two of the three exhibitions is free on Wednesdays between 3:00-9:00 PM. To see the Hollywood Costume exhibition, you must purchase a ticket and select an entry time. If visiting museums makes you hungry, the museum restaurant, Palette, is open until 8:00 PM.
