Upcoming Webinar on 9 March: Strategies for Achieving Success

Guest Post by Suzanna Laurent.

Have you ever wondered how some people accomplish so much more than others do? We all have the same amount of time, but we use that time differently. Some people just work smarter, not harder, so they use more of their potential.

We take our brains and their capacity for granted. For years, psychologists have been telling us that few people ever use more than 25 to 30 percent of their real potential.  Even a genius like Albert Einstein claimed to use only 15 percent of his potential abilities, so we have a lot of untapped potential within us. “Just as seed requires light, heat, and nutrients from the soil to produce a new plant, the growth of your talents requires action, dedication, planning, and action on your part,” said Paul J. Meyer.

I’m not saying that success comes easily or quickly, but success can be yours if you want it enough and are willing to work for it. The unlimited potential you possess is available to everyone who reaches out for it.

It is exciting to realize that you possess a truly unlimited store of potential for success, and to recognize your capacity for imagination, creativity and achievement. Through goal setting you can move beyond just acknowledging your potential and focus your power on choosing and pursuing goals that have personal meaning and worth to you.

Paul J. Meyer of Waco, TX, developed five essential keys to success through goal setting that he calls his “Million Dollar Personal Success Plan.” He used that plan to build the foundation of his life, the Success Motivation Institute (SMI), and his numerous other companies. Today, Meyer is one of the most acclaimed and widely read authors of all time, with over 50 million copies of his work in print and recordings, including numerous articles in national magazines and journals. Meyer said, “Anything you can imagine, visualize, and sincerely desire can be yours if you plan for it and work for it through a practical program of goal setting.”

What does this mean for you? Well, the implication is that you can accomplish a whole lot more if you develop just a portion of your untapped potential. I know that to be true, because I’ve used Meyer’s plan to achieve more throughout my life. I learned to dream and put a plan into action to achieve my dream. That’s how I became a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication and their 2005-06 international president. I also was selected in 1997 as one of the Top Ten Business Women of the Year in the nation for the American Business Women’s Association, because I’ve used this plan to achieve more in every area of my life.

I invite you to join me on 9 March [see link for more details and to register] as I share the steps in Paul J. Meyer’s Million Dollar Personal Success Plan during an STC webinar entitled “Strategies for Achieving Success.” You can achieve more in every area of your life too.
