STC Carolina Chapter Presents Practical Tips for SEO

Writing to Get Noticed: Practical Tips for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

On Thursday, 29 April, the STC Carolina Chapter will present a GoToWebinar session from 6:30-8:00 PM EDT (GMT-4) on Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Today, readers often bypass manuals and online help and run a Google search instead. You have what the customer needs—help for technical questions, knowledge bases, PDFs, videos showing how it’s done, great products to sell—but none of that matters unless people find your stuff … and find it first. That’s what SEO is all about.

SEO copywriting is becoming a necessary skill for technical communicators. Where do you begin?

In this session, Heather Lloyd-Martin, a pioneer of SEO copywriting, offers practical tips that you can use immediately to help your content rise in the rankings. She explains SEO basics for
writers: what SEO is, why SEO is relevant, and how to write copy that people find easily when searching the web.

This webinar is available to STC members for $10 and to nonmembers for $15.  You can register online.
