If you’re planning on submitting a proposal to present at the 2013 Summit (5-8 May in Atlanta, GA)—and especially if this will be your first time submitting a proposal—attend our free webinar from 1:00-2:00 PM EDT (GMT-4) on 22 August, Planning and Submitting Your STC Summit Proposal, presented by the conference manager, Paul Mueller, and the program manager, Chris Hester.
During this webinar, Paul and Chris describe the STC Summit proposal submission and review process, and what the members of the program team look for. From topic selection and definition through session planning and submission, the presenters highlight the information that helps the review team understand each proposal and the value it offers to our attendees. They also identify important aspects to consider, such as clearly defining and communicating your learning objectives and a detailed session plan, as well as providing samples slides and handouts to demonstrate the quality of your session. With several presentation formats to consider, this webinar also helps you understand the strengths of each session format and select the format type that is best for you and your topic.
The webinar is free to both members and nonmembers, so anyone planning on submitting a proposal is invited! While attendance is free, you must register to attend. Attendance is limited, so register today!
For all the details on submitting a proposal and to submit one, see the Call for Proposals online system. All proposals must be submitted through this online system. We suggest you review this website before attending the webinar.
