The STC Office is closed on Monday, 29 October, due to Hurricane Sandy. Employees were instructed last week to telework for the day as a safety precaution, but their ability to do so is dependent on the effects of the storm on their home. Please be patient when waiting to hear from staffers, as widespread power outages in the DC/MD/VA area are expected.
As posted in an update to Friday’s blog post, since the server for our association management software is hosted in our building, a long-term power outage at the office means that anything that authenticates against our server (website logins, MySTC, chapter logins on sites that use our authentication, publications, and the online membership application) will not be working. Tuesday’s free sponsored webinar may also be affected, so please watch STC’s Notebook and the STC home page for further information about that.
